New Cramic Art Pottery by Tyler Gibson

Here are two new works by my student, Tyler Gibson.

 This piece exhibits a great use of form to create an illusion of movement. One can almost see this pod exploding outward and releasing its contents into the world! Or maybe it is some type of omnivorous alien  plant! Either way Tyler is doing very good in my opinion and proceeding by leaps and bounds.

With this piece Tyler has taken a free form shallow bowl, embellished it with stamp work and then given it a two color finish and glaze. The over all effect has a very traditional look while maintaining a fresh modern appearance..
