Here is an update of my Friday, March 4, 2011 post. This is what the vase I showed looked like after it was glazed. The areas that are mint green are the glaze. Once the piece is fired the green areas will turn into the clear glassy glaze and allow all the painting that it hides to be seen. The tendril, root areas that are free of the minty fresh, green glaze will be a matte finish. I also added a bunch of little points all over the roots. With any luck I will take this ceramic art vase to be fired this coming Thursday. I will post more images of it after I pick it up on the following Thursday.
